Alright, so I’ve been messing around with MLB The Show 24, trying to figure out the best camera settings. I mean, who doesn’t want to feel like they’re right there in the action, right? After a few days of tinkering, here’s the lowdown on what I discovered.
Hitting Camera
First off, I started with hitting cameras. I switched things up and experimented with different views. I remember using the “Retro” camera since way back in like, 2019, it was my go-to for a while. But last year, in MLB The Show 23, I decided to switch back to the “Catcher” camera, and boy, did that make a difference. My hitting game seriously improved. It just felt more natural, you know? Like I could see the ball a lot better and react quicker. So, “Catcher” is definitely my pick for hitting.
Gameplay Style
Then I messed around with the gameplay style settings. I saw there’s this “Competitive” option that’s supposed to be the standard for Diamond Dynasty. I figured, might as well try that out, too. I chose “Competitive” and it just clicked.
Other Settings
- I tried some other camera angles for hitting, too. There’s one called “Strike Zone” that a lot of people seem to like, but honestly, it just felt too zoomed in for me.
- I also fiddled around with the PCI (that’s the thing you use to aim your swing) but ended up just sticking with the default settings. Sometimes, simpler is better, I guess.
- I messed with the difficulty settings too, but let’s be real, I’m not a pro, so I kept it pretty casual. No need to make things harder than they need to be, right?
So, after all that experimenting, here’s what I settled on. “Catcher” camera for hitting, “Competitive” gameplay style, and everything else pretty much default. It’s been working out pretty well for me so far. I’m hitting better, and the game just feels more fun overall. Of course, everyone’s different, so what works for me might not work for you.
