Okay, let’s talk about this Devil Dinosaur deck I’ve been messing with in Marvel Snap. I started playing it ’cause, well, who doesn’t love a big ol’ dinosaur stomping around?
First, I started messing around with cards that I thought should add some power and fun, I threw in things like Sentinel and some others to keep my hand nice and full. ‘Cause the whole point of Devil Dinosaur is the more cards in your hand, the bigger he gets, right? It was going okay, but sometimes I’d get stuck with a hand full of cards and no way to play them efficiently. Not to mention, I got totally messed up by those destroy decks a few times. And Wong was a major headache, I got seriously clobbered whenever he showed up.

Then, I thought, “Hey, I should prevent them from playing Wong.” So I started trying out different cards. I swapped out Domino for Cable, ’cause taking cards from your opponent’s deck is always a good time. That did help a bit, I have to say. Cable not only gives me another card, but it also gave me some insight into what they were planning.
After that, I thought, I could totally use Storm and Arnim Zola in this deck.
- Storm is awesome for locking down a location.
- Arnim Zola? That’s where things got really wild.
I’d play Devil Dinosaur, then use Arnim Zola on him. Boom! Now I’ve got two giant dinosaurs to deal with. It felt so good to pull that off, watching my opponent’s face as they realized they were about to get stomped by not one, but two massive dinosaurs. It’s pretty satisfying blocking those Wong and destroy players, let me tell you.
But through all this, I’ve realized that the best way to use Devil Dinosaur is to keep your hand stacked. And if you can get Quinjet out early, you can play those extra cards and discount them. I know that some people don’t like Quinjet, but I say he works for me in this deck.
So that’s my story with the Devil Dinosaur deck. I started with a simple idea, went through some trials and errors, made some tweaks, and ended up with a deck that’s not only fun to play but also pretty darn effective. It’s been a blast, and I’m still tinkering with it, ’cause that’s half the fun, right? It’s a good time, and I think anyone who likes big, stompy dinosaurs should give it a try.
