Alright, folks, gather ’round, ’cause I gotta tell ya about my latest adventure in MLB The Show 24. I was itching to get traded, you know, switch things up a bit, but let me tell ya, it ain’t as easy as it used to be. I remember the good old days when you could just whine to your agent, and BOOM, you’re on a new team. But those days are gone, my friends.
So, there I was, stuck on a team that just wasn’t vibing with me. I tried everything, played my heart out, but it just wasn’t clicking. Now, in the older games, I would’ve just marched up to my agent and demanded a trade. But MLB The Show 24? Nope, they took that option away. Can you believe it?

But, I’m not one to give up easily. I started digging around, trying to find a way to force a trade. And guess what? You gotta set it up right from the get-go. When you start a new Franchise mode, there’s this little setting called “Force Trades”. You gotta turn that bad boy on, or you’re stuck. Once you’re past that screen, there’s no going back, no changing it.
Now, I’m in Road to the Show mode, which is where you can still make this happen. I started focusing on improving my player. I mean, who’s gonna want a benchwarmer, right? So, I paid attention to my Skill Set and Perks. Makes sense, right? Gotta be valuable to be traded.
But that’s not all. I also started playing more games in Road to the Show, just grinding it out, getting those stats up. And let me tell you about equipment, I decked out my player with the best gear I could find, anything to boost those ratings.
It took some time, and a lot of games, but eventually, it happened. I got traded! It wasn’t immediate, and it definitely wasn’t as simple as just asking for it, but I made it work.
So, here’s the deal: if you’re looking to get traded in MLB The Show 24, you gotta plan ahead.
- Turn on that “Force Trades” option at the very beginning of Franchise mode.
- Pump up those player ratings.
- Play hard.
- Equip yourself to be the best.
- It is not easy, just go through, and you can make it.
It ain’t a walk in the park, but hey, that’s what makes it interesting, right? You gotta earn that trade. It’s a challenge, but if you follow these steps, you can do it. I did it, and now, so you can do it, too!
