Okay, so I was messing around with this game called Marvel Snap the other day. It’s a card game, and like any card game, there are a bunch of mechanics to figure out. One of the things that I was really scratching my head over was this thing called “Priority.”
So, what is Priority in Marvel Snap? I mean, it sounds important, right? Well, it turns out it kinda is. It basically decides whose cards get flipped over first each turn. And you know what? That can totally change how a game plays out.

I started digging around, trying to figure this Priority thing out. Turns out, the game checks who’s winning at the start of each turn. That’s the player that gets Priority. But what does “winning” even mean in this context?
It’s all about the locations.
- Whoever’s winning the most locations gets Priority. Simple enough, right?
- But, then I hit a snag. What if we’re tied? Like, we each are winning one location. The game then looks at the total power at each location.
- If one location is tied, then it’s whoever has the highest total power.
My Experiment
I wanted to see this in action. So, I started playing games and focusing on how I could mess with Priority. It’s actually pretty cool. Like, if you’re losing, you can try to stack up your power in one location to try and steal Priority. Or, if you have Priority, you can spread out your power to keep it. Then the game is tied, and each of you is winning one lane.
There were times when I really wanted Priority. Like, when I had a card that could mess up my opponent’s play, but only if it was revealed first. And other times, I didn’t want Priority at all. Maybe I was setting up a big combo, and I needed my opponent’s cards to flip first so I could react to them. It is a big deal when you climb to infinite rank.
So, there you have it. My deep dive into the world of Priority in Marvel Snap. It’s a simple concept, but it adds a whole layer of strategy to the game. Once I figured it out, it changed how I played completely. You can also learn more about how to use the best Marvel Snap decks.
And you need to keep an eye on who’s going first, especially when you’re using cards that mess with your opponent. Once I got the hang of it, I started winning way more games. Just by paying attention to that one little thing – who has Priority.
Hope that was helpful to other Marvel Snap players out there! It is a good game you guys can try.
