Alright, so I’ve been playing Pokemon Go for a while now, and I’ve always loved Snorlax. He’s just this big, cuddly guy who can also pack a punch. I finally managed to catch a really good one, and I was determined to make him the best he could be.
So, I did some digging around online to figure out the best moves for him. Turns out, people seem to be saying that Lick and Hyper Beam are the way to go. They say this combo gives Snorlax the highest damage output, which is obviously what you want when you’re taking down gyms or battling other trainers.

I went ahead and started using TMs to change my Snorlax’s moves. I got rid of whatever he had before and taught him Lick as his fast move. It seemed pretty quick, and it built up energy for his charge move pretty fast. Then I slapped Hyper Beam on him as his charge move. Man, that thing hits hard! It takes a while to charge up, but when it lands, it really does some serious damage.
I took my newly trained Snorlax out for a spin, and let me tell you, he was a beast! I started taking down gyms left and right. That Lick and Hyper Beam combo was just shredding through other Pokemon. I even tried him out in some PvP battles, and he did surprisingly well there too. He’s a bit slow, but he can take a hit and dish it out even better.

My Snorlax’s Moves
Now, I saw some people online saying that Body Slam and Superpower are also good moves for Snorlax, especially in the Great League. I haven’t tried those out yet, but I might give them a shot sometime. But for now, I’m really happy with how my Snorlax is performing with Lick and Hyper Beam. He’s become a real powerhouse on my team, and we’re taking over gyms like nobody’s business!
One thing I noticed is that Snorlax is really good at defense. He can just sit there in a gym and soak up damage like a sponge. This big guy is a really good defender.
So yeah, that’s my experience with optimizing my Snorlax. If you’ve got a Snorlax you want to power up, I definitely recommend giving Lick and Hyper Beam a try. You won’t be disappointed!
