Alright, so I’ve been messing around with this “MLB The Show 24” thing, specifically the Battle Royale mode. It’s a whole thing, you know? You gotta draft players, play games, and try to win as much as possible to get some sweet rewards. And I figured, why not try to make things a little easier and keep track of everything using a spreadsheet? Yeah, I’m that guy now, a spreadsheet guy.
So, I started this whole project, not really knowing what I was getting into. First off, I fired up good old Google Sheets because, why not? It’s free, and I’m not made of money. Then, I started jotting down all the players I could draft, you know, their names, positions, and all that jazz. I spent hours, man, just copy-pasting stats from who-knows-where. It was a grind, not gonna lie. I even made different sheets for different programs. Yeah, it got pretty intense.
Next, I started thinking about the rewards. I mean, that’s the whole point, right? Get those wins, get those rewards. I saw some people online talking about spreadsheets that could predict what reward you’d get based on your wins. That sounded like some next-level stuff, but I was determined. I started tracking my wins and the rewards I got. I made columns for, like, 3-win rewards, 6-win rewards, all the way up to 12 wins, ’cause that’s the dream, right?
- Creating the Spreadsheet: Started a new sheet, added player names, positions, stats, the whole nine yards.
- Tracking Rewards: Made columns for different win milestones and noted down the rewards I got.
- Figuring Out Patterns: Tried to see if there was a connection between certain rewards at lower wins and what you’d get at 12 wins.
It was a lot of trial and error, let me tell you. Some days I’d win a bunch and feel like I was cracking the code. Other days, not so much. But I kept at it, updating my spreadsheet after every few games. I even added some fancy formulas to calculate things like OPS+ and ERA+ because, why not feel like a baseball stats wizard, right?
Honestly, it’s still a work in progress. I’m not sure if I’ve found any real solid patterns yet, but it’s been fun. Plus, it’s kinda cool to have all this data organized in one place. I can see which players are performing well for me, what rewards I’m likely to get, and all that. It’s like my own little baseball database.
The Results So Far
Well, like I said, I’m not claiming to have cracked the code or anything. But the spreadsheet has definitely made things more interesting. It’s given me a bit of an edge, I think, or at least it feels that way. I’m more strategic about my drafts, and I have a better idea of what to expect reward-wise. Plus, it’s just satisfying to see all those numbers and feel like I’m in control, you know?
So, yeah, that’s my spreadsheet story. It’s not exactly a guide on how to dominate Battle Royale mode, but it’s my journey. And who knows, maybe it’ll inspire someone else to start their own spreadsheet adventure. Or maybe they’ll just think I’m a huge nerd. Either way, I’m having fun, and that’s what counts, right?
