Alright, so I heard about this “Darktide Vanguard Bundle” thing going around. Seems like it’s some kind of special deal for the PC folks playing Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. I was curious, so I decided to do some digging and here is what I found.
First, I hopped on my PC and started the game. I’ve been playing it for a while now, so I figured I’d probably be eligible for this bundle. Apparently, it was given out to players who were in the game before November 17th. I definitely was, so that was the first hurdle cleared.
I went through a few forums and community posts to get an idea about this. Some people were saying it’s a “thank you” gift for those who’ve been playing for a while, while some were making a fuss about it, calling it some kind of compensation. I didn’t really care about the drama, I just wanted my free stuff.
After reading a bit more, I realized that the support team can’t manually add this bundle to your account. It’s something that’s supposed to be automatically given out to those who qualify. That was a bit of a bummer, cause I was hoping I could just contact them and get it if it didn’t show up.
- Logged into the game: I figured the best way to check was to actually play the game and see if anything popped up.
- Checked my inventory: I went straight to my inventory, hoping to see some new goodies, but nothing at first.
- Played a few rounds: I thought maybe I needed to play a bit more. So I jumped into a few missions, played the game as usual.
Then, after a few rounds, I went back to the main menu, and there it was! A notification about the Vanguard Bundle. I clicked on it, and boom, a bunch of new stuff added to my inventory. It was pretty cool to see all those new items and cosmetics just show up like that.
It was a nice surprise, to be honest. Didn’t expect to get anything extra just for playing the game. I saw one comment from a staff member, FatsharkCatfish, saying that people should be able to access the bundle in-game now. That’s pretty much what happened to me.
So yeah, that’s my little adventure with the Darktide Vanguard Bundle. If you were playing the game on PC before November 17th, you might want to check your game too. You might have some free stuff waiting for you!
