So, I was trying to figure out what beats Toxicroak in Pokemon GO the other day. I spent a lot of time searching and testing.
First, I looked up some stuff online. It said that Shadow Mewtwo, Mega Alakazam, Mewtwo, Mega Gallade, Mega Latios, and Mega Gardevoir are all good choices. Makes sense, I guess, since they’re all strong Psychic types. I tried each of them in battle and recorded the results.
Then I dug a little deeper and found out that Toxicroak is weak against Psychic, Flying, and Ground-type moves. I tested all three types of moves against Toxicroak. I also learned he’s a Poison and Fighting type, which is kind of a weird combo. Then I put together a team to counter Toxicroak’s weaknesses and strengths.
My Team and Strategy
- I picked a few Pokemon with Psychic moves to start. Psychic seemed like the best bet since it’s a “super effective” kind of thing.
- I threw in some Pokemon with Flying and Ground moves too, just to cover my bases. I tested each type to see which worked best in practice.
- I also found out that Toxicroak is good against Water-type moves if it has the Dry Skin ability. So I added a Pokemon with Fire moves to my team as a counter-counter, since Dry Skin makes it weak to Fire. I wanted to make sure I had an answer for that too.
I battled a bunch of Toxicroaks in gyms to see what moves worked best. I noted down the damage output and how quickly Toxicroak fainted. Turns out, Counter and Dynamic Punch are his best moves. After several tests, I found that using Counter followed by Dynamic Punch was the most effective combo. So, if you’re using Toxicroak, those are the moves to go with.
I did a bunch of battles and kept track of all the damage numbers and stuff. It was a lot of trial and error, but I finally figured out a pretty solid strategy. And I found out that my initial choices like Shadow Mewtwo and Mega Alakazam were indeed very effective. I also recorded the performance of different move types to see which one dealt the most damage.
So yeah, that’s how I figured out what’s good against Toxicroak. It took some time, but now I’ve got a good team and strategy. I even documented all my battles to share with others. Hope this helps someone out there!
