So, I’ve been grinding on Madden 24 lately, and let me tell you, the Headliners program is something else. I jumped in right when the deluxe edition dropped at 8 pm Eastern. EA had this whole stream going, showing off a bunch of new stuff, but I was too eager to dive in myself.
I started messing around in the Ultimate Team mode. I watched this video about the Madden 24 Ultimate Team content, and it hyped me up even more. I love seeing some of the old legends come back, and I saw that Michael Vick was a big focus.
- Start Game:
- Booted up the game and went straight to Ultimate Team.
- Explore New Features:
- Checked out the Headliners program and the new players available.
- Michael Vick:
- Noticed Michael Vick was a featured player. The cover even has the same photo of Vick with Atlanta that was used in Madden 2004. It brings back so many memories.
- Unlock ’04 Vick:
- Started playing games and completing challenges to unlock the special “’04 Vick” version. It’s like stepping back in time.
I’ve been playing through Franchise mode too. The game lets you manage a team for up to 30 seasons, which is crazy long. I wish we could retire as a coach and keep going, but 30 years is the limit.
Anyway, I spent a good chunk of time in the settings, especially the “Edit Draft Class Strength” under League Settings. It’s pretty cool because you can adjust the strength of each position in the draft. You can set it to Very Weak, Weak, Normal – it gives you a lot of control over how your franchise develops. I spent time trying to adjust each position to make it normal and fair.

- Started a new Franchise and picked my favorite team.
- 30 Season Limit:
- Discovered that you can only play up to 30 seasons. I wish it were longer, but it’s still a lot of gameplay.
- Edit Draft Class Strength:
- Found the “Edit Draft Class Strength” option in League Settings.
- Adjusted the strength of each position to customize the draft.
It’s been a wild ride so far. The game has so many layers, and I’m just scratching the surface. From reliving the glory days with Vick in Ultimate Team to shaping the future in Franchise mode, there’s never a dull moment. I can’t wait to see what else Madden 24 has in store. This game is gonna keep me busy for a long time!
