Yesterday, I spent the whole afternoon trying to get that Hunter’s Cloak in V Rising. I mean, I’ve been playing this game for a while now, and I’ve gotten pretty good at crafting stuff, but this one really gave me a run for my money.
So, first I had to go and fight this lady, Beatrice. She was a real headache to beat, but after a good amount of trying, I finally took her down. And that’s when I got access to the Loom and the supposed recipe for the Hunter’s Cloak. But, here’s the kicker – the recipe was nowhere to be found! I looked all over the Loom and this other crafting bench you get after beating Beatrice, called the Tailoring Bench. Nothing. It was like it just disappeared into thin air.
Hunting for Resources
I figured, “Okay, maybe I’m missing some materials.” So, I started wandering around, looking for things to pick up. I started killing every animal that crossed my path, looking for meat and animal bones. I mean, I usually don’t do this kind of stuff, but desperate times, right? I remembered reading somewhere that you can actually equip meat and upgrade it with bones in the crafting menu. Seemed weird, but hey, I was willing to try anything.
- Went out hunting: Killed lots of animals.
- Collected meat and bones: Got a good stash.
- Tried crafting: Selected meat, added bones.
Finding the Cloak in Different Regions
Then I recalled something about different cloaks being in different parts of the game’s map. There’s this Razer Serpent Wrap in Farbane Woods, and the actual Razer Serpent Cloak is either in Dunley Farmlands or Cursed Woods. I thought maybe it is the same thing with the Hunter’s Cloak, so I ran around like a headless chicken, visiting these places. Nothing. Still couldn’t find the cloak or the recipe. It was so frustrating!
I was about to give up, but then I tried one last thing. I went back to the crafting menu, selected the meat I had collected, and chose the “craft” option. And guess what? Boom! The Hunter’s Cloak magically appeared! I couldn’t believe it. It was like the game was playing tricks on me the whole time. I was so happy to finally get it. I mean, it’s just a cloak that gives you some protection against the weather in the game, but after all that trouble, it felt like a huge victory. I proudly put it on my character, and it felt like I had earned it with blood, sweat, and tears. What a day!
