Okay, so today I wanna talk about this Pokémon, Stunfisk, in Pokémon Go. I’ve been messing around with it, and here’s what I found out.
First off, I started catching a bunch of these guys. They’re kinda funny-looking, flat like a pancake, and they’re both Ground and Electric type. I thought, “Cool, let’s see what this thing can do.”

So, I started battling with it. I quickly learned that this thing is a freaking tank! Seriously, it can take hits like a champ. I was using it in the Great League and the Ultra League, and it was holding its own against some tough opponents.
I experimented with different moves, and I found the best combo to be Mud Shot, Earthquake, and Rock Slide. Mud Shot is great for quickly charging up energy, and then you can unleash either Earthquake or Rock Slide depending on what you’re facing. Rock Slide is particularly useful against those pesky Flying types, while Earthquake just hits like a truck.
My Battle Strategy
- Start with Mud Shot: I always lead with a few Mud Shots to build up energy fast.
- Assess the Opponent: I try to figure out what type my opponent’s Pokémon is.
- Choose the Right Charged Move:
- If it’s weak to Ground, I go for Earthquake.
- If it’s a Flying type or weak to Rock, Rock Slide is the way to go.
- Sometimes, I just use whatever is charged up first if I’m in a pinch.
- Shield When Necessary: Stunfisk can take hits, but it’s not invincible. I use my shields wisely, especially against strong Grass, Ground, or Ice moves.
I also noticed that Stunfisk is weak to Grass, Ground, and Ice. So, I was careful not to put it up against Pokémon with those types of moves. But even when it was at a disadvantage, it could still take a few hits before going down.
I even tried using it against some of the big guys, like those Shadow and Mega Pokémon people talk about. Surprisingly, it did okay! It’s not gonna win every time, but it definitely puts up a good fight.
I found that people were saying Mega Lucario and Shadow Moltres are good against it. I went up against a few of those, and yeah, they’re tough. But I managed to beat a couple by just spamming Mud Shot and hoping for the best. Sometimes you get lucky, right?
All in all, I had a blast using Stunfisk. It’s a fun, unconventional Pokémon that can really surprise people in battles. It became one of my go-to Pokémon for the Great League and Ultra League. Plus, it’s just so darn funny to watch it flop around.
Give it a try. You might be surprised at how well this little guy performs!
