Man, I’ve been grinding away at MLB The Show 24 lately, and I’m already itching for that next roster update. It’s supposed to drop on May 17th, and I’m hyped to see what changes they make. I heard they’re gonna promote some new cards to the Diamond tier, which is gonna be sweet.
I’ve been playing mostly Diamond Dynasty, you know, building my dream team and all that. It’s a blast, but it’s also a grind, man. You gotta draft a solid team and play against other people online in these 3-inning games. I try to make sure I’ve got a good mix of lefties and righties in my lineup, probably around four or five of each. I’ve noticed that if you have too many of the same type batting in a row, the other players will exploit that. You gotta keep winning to unlock those sweet rewards. I’m aiming for that 10-win streak to get some of the best player rewards in the game, but two losses and you’re out. It’s tough, but that’s what makes it fun, right?

I’ve also been messing around with Franchise mode and Road to the Show. It’s cool to manage a team or create your own player and guide them through their career. I really like how it’s different from Diamond Dynasty. It is a bummer that none of your progress carries over to the next version of the game. You’d think they would have figured that out by now.
But back to Diamond Dynasty, I’m really curious to see which players get bumped up in this next update. They said there will be 90+ player adjustments. I’m hoping some of my favorite players get a boost. I’ve been keeping an eye on the player card updates on their website, checking out the new cards they add by date. I always look at the player name and their overall rating. It is a good way to keep up with the game.
- Drafting: I spent hours trying different combinations of players, trying to find the perfect balance of lefties and righties.
- Playing: I played countless 3-inning games, each win getting me closer to those juicy rewards. The 10-win streak is my ultimate goal!
- Losing: I’ve definitely had my share of losses. It is frustrating, but it just makes me more determined to improve my team and strategy.
- Waiting: Now, I’m eagerly waiting for that May 17th update. I can’t wait to see how it shakes up the game.
Anyways, that’s what I’ve been up to in MLB The Show 24. It’s a fun but challenging game, and I’m always looking forward to what’s next. I’ll definitely be back here on May 17 to check out the new update. Gotta keep grinding!
