Okay, let’s dive into my recent ranked grind in League of Legends. As you guys know, every season, or split now, we gotta do these placement games to figure out where we stand. It’s always a bit of a rollercoaster, you know? So, I hopped into my first placement match, feeling pretty good. I mean, I’ve been playing for years, so I figured I’d land somewhere decent.
Game 1: I locked in my main, hoping to carry. We got stomped. I mean, it was a total bloodbath. My team fed like crazy, and I couldn’t do much. Not the best start, but hey, it’s just one game, right?

- Game 2: This one was a bit better. We actually had some teamwork going on, but we still lost. I was starting to get a little worried. Two losses in a row? Not ideal.
- Game 3: Total disaster. I had an AFK on my team. You know how it is. 4v5 is almost impossible to win, especially in these crucial placement matches.
Rough Beginnings
Midway Point: Alright, three games in, and I’m 0-3. I’m starting to think I’m cursed or something. But I’m not giving up. I switched up my strategy a bit, tried to focus on objectives more, and communicate with my team.
- Game 4: Finally, a win! It was a close one, but we managed to pull it off. I felt like I actually contributed, and my team wasn’t too shabby either.
- Game 5: Another win! I was on a roll. Maybe my luck was changing. I played a bit safer, focused on not dying, and it paid off.
Turning the Tide?
Final Stretch: Five games done, and I’m 2-3. Not the best, but better than 0-5, I guess. But here’s the kicker: Riot now makes you play ten placement games to get your final rank. Ten! So, I had to keep going.
- Game 6-8: These were a mix. I won one, lost two. It felt like a coin flip every game. Some teams were great, others… not so much.
- Game 9: This was the most intense game ever. It went on for like 50 minutes. We were so close to losing, but we managed to make a comeback and win. I was sweating bullets, not gonna lie.
The Grind Continues
Final Verdict: Game 10. The last one. I was so nervous. We won, but it was a struggle. In the end, I finished my placements with 4 wins and 6 losses. I got placed in Silver, which was a bit lower than I hoped, but it’s not terrible. I’ve climbed out of Silver before, so I know I can do it again.
Overall, these placement games were a wild ride. Lots of ups and downs, but that’s just how League is, right? You win some, you lose some. The important thing is to keep grinding and never give up. Now, it’s time to climb my way back up the ladder. Wish me luck, guys!
