Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another gaming story. Today, I wanna talk about my experience with “League of Legends” placement games. So, I just started a new season, which means it was time to grind out those dreaded placement matches.
For those who don’t know, placement matches are the first 10 ranked games you play in a season. These matches are super important because they determine your starting rank. So, obviously, I wanted to do my best and get placed as high as possible. I had to fire up the computer and start logging into the game.

I jumped into my first game, feeling pretty good. Picked my best champion and hopped into the Summoner’s Rift. It was a complete stomp! We crushed the other team, and I felt like a god. I was thinking, “This is gonna be easy, I’ll be in Diamond in no time!”
- Played like a beast
- Team dominated
- Easy victory
First Game
Boy, was I wrong. The next few games were a total disaster. It felt like I was getting matched with the worst teammates imaginable. We’re talking about people who seemed like they’d never played the game before. I’m not even exaggerating, one guy was building items that made no sense.
- Teammates were clueless
- Lost hard
- Felt like I was cursed
Next Few Games
I started to get tilted. You know, that feeling when you’re so frustrated that you start playing even worse? Yeah, that was me. I was making dumb mistakes, getting caught out of position, and just generally playing like garbage. I was losing game after game, and my rank was plummeting.
- Started playing poorly
- Made stupid mistakes
- Rank dropped significantly
Getting Tilted
After a few more painful losses, I decided to take a break. I realized I needed to clear my head and come back with a fresh perspective. I watched some pro players, trying to pick up some tips and tricks. I also made sure to get a good night’s sleep, because playing on tilt and tired is a recipe for disaster.
- Stopped playing for a while
- Watched pro players
- Got some rest
Taking a Break
The next day, I felt a lot better. I went into my remaining placement matches with a more positive attitude. I focused on playing my best, communicating with my team, and not letting losses get me down. I even managed to pull off a few wins, which definitely boosted my morale.
- Played more consistently
- Communicated with team
- Managed to win some
Final Games
In the end, I didn’t get placed as high as I had hoped. But, you know what? It wasn’t a total disaster either. I learned a lot about myself as a player, and I realized the importance of staying positive and not letting losses get to me. Plus, it gives me something to grind towards this season! The climb continues, baby!
So, that’s my story about League of Legends placement games. It was a rollercoaster of emotions, but hey, that’s what makes the game so addictive, right? Let me know about your placement experiences in the comments. Until next time, peace out!
