Alright, so I’ve been messing around with Destiny 2 again lately, and let me tell you, I’ve been having a blast with these things called Linear Fusion Rifles. These bad boys are like the sniper rifles’ more powerful, angrier cousins, and they pack a serious punch.
I started off by trying to figure out which one I should even bother with. There are a bunch of them in the game, but I wanted the best, you know? After digging around, I found out about this thing called the “Cataclysmic.” Apparently, you gotta beat some tough raid called “Vow of the Disciple” to get it, but everyone says it’s totally worth it. It seemed like a long shot for me since I am not good at raids. I figured I’d try to get it later.

Then, I stumbled upon this other one, an “Exotic” one called “Arbalest.” People online were saying this is the go-to for PvP. It’s got some crazy aim assist that makes it super easy to land those headshots. And this was my lucky day! I somehow got it as a random drop! I was so pumped to try it out in the Crucible.
- I hopped into some matches, and man, they weren’t kidding about that aim assist! I was landing shots I normally wouldn’t even dream of.
- I still got wrecked a bunch because, well, I’m not the best at PvP.
- But I could see why people love this thing. It felt good to use.
While I was messing around, I also remembered using this other Exotic Sniper Rifle, “Izanagi’s Burden,” which lets you cram your whole magazine into one mega-powerful shot. That thing is also a beast, but it feels different from a Linear Fusion Rifle. It is more like a traditional sniper, but it hits hard, real hard.
I spent a good chunk of the day just experimenting with these weapons. Swapping between them, trying different perks, and seeing how they felt in both PvE and PvP. Honestly, I had way more fun than I expected.
The Verdict
So, if you’re looking to spice things up in Destiny 2, give Linear Fusion Rifles a try. If you can manage to snag the Cataclysmic, that’s probably your best bet for raw power. But if you want something fun and a bit easier to use in PvP, then hunt down the Arbalest. You won’t regret it!
Anyway, that’s my little adventure with Linear Fusion Rifles in Destiny 2. Hope you found it somewhat useful. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go snipe some more Guardians in the Crucible!
