Today, I wanted to figure out something about Valorant. Specifically, I was curious about how long an “Act” is in the game. So, I started digging around to find some answers.
First, I searched the internet for some basic information. I found out that an Act is like a competitive season in Valorant. Each episode in the game has three Acts, and each one usually contains a few patches, which are like updates to the game. Each patch comes out every two weeks or so. This made me think that an Act probably lasts a couple of months.

Then, I looked for some more specific dates. I saw that Valorant Episode 9 Act 1 started on July 25, 2024, and is supposed to end around August 27/28, 2024. That’s just about a month, which seemed a bit short to me, based on what I read earlier.
I also found the release date for Episode 7 Act 3, which was October 31, 2023. That’s a while back, but it helped me see that the dates can change a bit.
Next, I stumbled upon some different numbers. Some sources said Acts last around 4-6 weeks, while others claimed they’re more like 6-12 weeks. Another source mentioned three months. It was all a bit confusing!
But then I remembered reading that episodes usually last about six months, with three Acts in each. So, if you do the math, that means each Act should be around two months long. That made the most sense to me.
So, after all this searching and reading, here’s what I figured out:
- Acts in Valorant are like mini-seasons within a bigger season called an episode.
- There are three Acts in each episode.
- Each Act probably lasts around two months, give or take.
It was a bit of a journey to get to this conclusion, with some different numbers floating around. But I think I got a pretty good handle on it now. Hopefully, this helps someone else who’s curious about how long Acts are in Valorant!
