Okay, so, I recently got into this app called “Pokemon Sleep.” It’s kinda like a sleep tracker, but with Pokemon, which is pretty neat, right? And there’s this thing called “Soft Potato” that I wanted to get more of in the game.
First, I downloaded the app on my phone. When you open it up, it’s all cute and Pokemon-themed. The main idea is you track your sleep, and based on how you sleep, different Pokemon show up. You build a little team of these sleepin’ Pokemon.

Now, for the Soft Potato part, I learned it’s an ingredient you can use in recipes in the game. I checked some stuff online and found out that certain Pokemon are more likely to give you these potatoes.
- Diglett: I don’t have this Pokemon yet, so I couldn’t try this one.
- Golem: I leveled up my Golem, and it did start giving me some Soft Potatoes!
- Victreebel: I also leveled up my Victreebel, and it did start giving me some Soft Potatoes, too!
- Mr. Mime: Same here, I don’t have this one yet.
The game lets you cook for Snorlax three times a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I started paying more attention to when I could make dishes using the Soft Potatoes. This way, I could make some progress in the game.
I noticed that having more Soft Potatoes helps a lot. So I focused on getting those Pokemon that drop them. It’s a bit of a grind, but hey, it’s kinda fun seeing which Pokemon I can get next.
And that’s basically my experience so far with Soft Potatoes in Pokemon Sleep. It’s a simple thing, but it adds a little extra to the game. Plus, it’s kinda cool to see how my sleep habits connect with these little Pokemon things.
