Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this “zoo” deck in Marvel Snap, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I heard about this deck type that’s all about flooding the board with a bunch of cheap, one-cost cards, and I thought, “Why not give it a shot?”
First off, I started looking into which cards are like, the all-stars of this zoo strategy. It turns out, cards like Ant-Man and Nico Minoru are pretty much no-brainers. These guys give you some serious power early in the game, which is what you need to get ahead. And if you get lucky, and Nico copies your next card on turn 1, let me tell you, it’s like hitting the jackpot. It’s basically like an auto win at that point. You just snap, no questions asked.

Then I went on this whole deep dive, trying to figure out how to actually play this deck. You know, like, what’s the best way to get the most out of these little guys? What I found out is that you don’t want to save up for some big, six-energy card to drop on the last turn. Nope, it’s all about playing your two, three, four, and maybe five cost cards leading up to turn six. Save those one-cost cards for the very end.
My Strategy
So here’s what I did. I made sure to get those key one-cost cards like Ant-Man and Nico in my starting hand, and I played them as soon as I could. I also added Mystique and Dazzler to my deck. Then, I just started playing those other cards, trying to keep my energy use up each turn. You know, like spreading them out, not saving everything for turn six.
- Early Game: Play Ant-Man and Nico as soon as possible. If you get Nico’s copy power on turn 1, snap immediately.
- Mid Game: Use turns 2-5 to play cards that cost two to five energy, building up your board presence. Don’t be afraid to play strong cards.
- Late Game: On turn 6, unload all those one-cost cards you’ve been saving. This is where you can really overwhelm your opponent, especially if they’re ahead on the board.
The idea is, you play all these other cards first, so your opponent thinks they’re winning, and then BAM! You drop all your one-cost cards on the last turn and steal the win. It’s like, the ultimate surprise attack.
I messed around with this for a while, tweaking my deck here and there, trying different combinations. It took some practice, but I finally got the hang of it. And let me tell you, when it works, it’s amazing. It is a good feeling to see your opponent’s face when you pull off that last-turn win.
So, if you’re looking for a fun, kind of sneaky way to play Marvel Snap, give this zoo deck a try. It’s a blast!
