Alright, let’s talk about my recent grind in Pokemon Go – trying to snag myself a Galarian Farfetch’d. I heard they were out and about because of the Sword and Shield Isle of Armor release, so I knew I had to get one.
First off, I did a little digging and found out that these guys don’t just pop up in the wild. Nope, the main way to find one is by hatching 7km Eggs. So I start walking, and walking, and walking. I mean, I’m hatching eggs like crazy, but it is not just about hatching any 7km Egg. This bird likes to play hide and seek with a bunch of other Pokemon in those eggs. I’m just trying to get this one particular Pokemon. But it keeps giving me everything except what I want.

I also learned that Galarian Farfetch’d is a Fighting-type, which means it’s weak to Fairy and Flying types. Good to know for when I finally get one and want to battle. And guess what? It evolves into Sirfetch’d, which I think is pretty cool. But that’s another challenge – it takes 50 Candies to evolve it. I need to catch a Galarian Farfetch’d first, which is hard to get.
Then I heard there was a Mythic Blade event going on from December 6th to December 11th, 2022, where you could get a Galarian Farfetch’d by completing Field Research tasks. So I start hitting up every PokeStop I can find, spinning them, and doing those tasks. It was a grind, but I was determined. And you know what? I eventually do it!
So, I finally got myself a Galarian Farfetch’d. It took some time, some luck with those eggs, and a lot of walking, but it was worth it. Now, I’m working on collecting enough candies to evolve it into Sirfetch’d. That’s gonna be my next goal in Pokemon Go. It’s got 141 stamina, which seems pretty decent.
If you’re trying to catch one, I suggest keeping an eye out for special events like the Mythic Blade one, and stocking up on those 7km Eggs. It’s not easy, but it’s doable. Trust me, if I can do it, so can you!
Gotta keep walking, gotta keep hatching, and who knows what other cool Pokemon we’ll find along the way!
