Okay, so, I’ve been seeing a lot of buzz about this Iris skin in Fortnite. And you know me, I gotta check things out when they get popular. So I decided to take a look and see what’s up with this whole Iris skin thing.
First, I had never played Fortnite before. But I heard that Fortnite is a free-to-play battle royale game. It was launched back in 2017. I thought it might be interesting. So I downloaded the game and went through the whole setup process.
Once I was in, I started to look for how to get this Iris skin. Apparently, it’s a “Rare Outfit,” which means it’s not something you can just find and pick up in the game. Seems like it was released in the early days of Fortnite, in Chapter 2: Season 2, which is part of something called the “Vivid Vision Set.” I tried finding it in the game, but no luck. Then I learned that this skin isn’t always available. And it’s only sold in this thing called the “Item Shop.”
I started digging around online, and I found out that you can only get the Iris skin by buying something called the “Iris Pack.” And guess what? It costs money! Most people say it was about $4.99 or 3. But when I checked the store, it wasn’t there. I learned that it’s not guaranteed to be available all the time.
From what I gathered, the last time anyone saw the Iris skin in the shop was on June 22, 2020. It has been in the store for a total of 119 days, spread across 125 different times. So, it’s been a while, and there was no guarantee when it would be back.
Here’s what you usually get in the Iris Pack when it’s available:
- 600 V-Bucks – This is like the money you use in the game.
- Iris Outfit – This is the skin everyone’s talking about.
- Roundabout Back Bling – Some kind of accessory for your back, I guess.
- Pop Axe Pickaxe – A special tool for the game.
I looked around different places online where people sell game stuff, like this one site, but I didn’t find anything that seemed legit. Most of these places were saying the skin wasn’t available.
So, after all this, I didn’t actually get the Iris skin. It’s not in the Item Shop right now, and I’m not gonna waste money on some sketchy website. If it comes back to the official store, maybe I’ll think about it. But for now, it seems like a waiting game.
That’s my experience trying to get the Iris skin in Fortnite. It’s a cool-looking skin, but it’s not easy to get. If you’re trying to get it too, good luck, but be ready to wait or spend some cash when it pops up in the shop.
