Okay, so I’ve been playing a ton of Dead by Daylight lately, especially with the Halloween event going on. And you know what that means? Cosmetics! Gotta get those spooky outfits, right?
So, I started by just playing the game. Like, a lot. The Halloween event has these “Void Energy” things you collect during matches. You get them by doing gens, hooking survivors, stuff like that. It’s pretty straightforward, just playing the game normally.

Then, I noticed that you have to deposit the void energy. You have to interact with this orange unstable rift. I missed it a lot in the first games.
- Play the game (killers or survivors)
- Collect Void Energy by doing objectives.
- Deposit them on a unstable rift.
Once I got the hang of collecting and “spend” those energies, I started checking out the event rewards. There’s a bunch of stuff, but I was mainly eyeing those sweet, sweet outfits.
I spent a good chunk of my weekend just grinding matches. Some were good, some were… not so good, let’s just say. But hey, that’s Dead by Daylight for you! I focused on playing characters I’m decent with. No point in trying to learn someone new while also trying to maximize my energy gains.
Finally, after many, many matches, I stared to get all cosmetics I wanted. It felt awesome to unlock those Halloween-themed outfits. Totally worth the grind, even with the occasional frustrating match. They look so good, especially in the lobby.
