Alright, so I’ve been playing a ton of “High on Life” lately, and I gotta say, the upgrade system is pretty wild. I wanted to share how I went about maxing out my gear, ’cause it took some trial and error, you know?
Getting Started with the Basics
First off, I focused on getting those early upgrades that just make life easier. I grabbed the jetpack as soon as I could. Seriously, it’s a game-changer. Zipping around those crazy levels is way more fun than just running and jumping.

- Jetpack: Makes movement smooth.
- Dodge Unit: Lets you avoid those annoying attacks.
Picking My Favorite Guns and Maxing Them Out
Next, I had to figure out which guns I actually liked using. I mean, they all talk, so you gotta find the ones that don’t drive you nuts, right? I ended up being a big fan of Kenny (the starter pistol) and Creature (that weird, spiky thing). So I started dumping all my resources into them.
I focused to Find the upgrade for Kenny, the one increases its rate of fire.
After that, I try to Improve Creature’s reload speed. It’s a beast, but it’s slow as hell without it.
After a few more upgrades, I started experimenting with the other guns, like Sweezy and Gus.
The Grind for Resources
Here’s where the grind came in. I spent a lot of time just exploring every nook and cranny of each level, looking for those loot chests.
- Pesos: You need a ton of these to buy upgrades from the shops.
- Warp Crystals: Used for some of the special upgrades.
So yeah, that’s basically my “High on Life” upgrade journey. Lots of exploring, lots of shooting, and lots of listening to those crazy guns yap. I am glad to share it with you guys.
