Okay, so I’ve been tweaking my CS:GO settings forever, trying to find that perfect balance. Recently, I decided to check out what the pros are using, and ropz’s setup caught my eye. I figured, “Why not give it a shot?” So, here’s how I went about copying ropz’s CS:GO settings and how it felt.
Getting Started
First, I needed to find his settings. I just googled around, you know, “ropz csgo settings” and found some websites listing everything out. I wasn’t sure if everything was fully up-to-date, but seemed like a good enough starting point.

The Settings Dive
I started with the basics, his resolution and crosshair. These were easy enough to find and copy into my own config file and the autoexec, Because I found some settings is command line, then I just added.
- Resolution: I found what resolution used, and I just followed it.
- Crosshair: The crosshair settings were pretty detailed with color, size, gap, style and all that, I just pasted those commands into my console.
Next up were his video settings. These can really impact how the game looks and performs. I try to kept things fairly similar to my usual settings but adopted some of his choices, like turning off motion blur.
- Video Settings: I make some changes base on ropz’s settings, like lower down some details setting for getting better fps performance.
Mouse Sensitivity
This part was probably the biggest change for me. ropz uses a pretty low sensitivity. I’m used to a higher one, so it felt really weird at first. I got the numbers for his DPI, in-game sensitivity, and Windows sensitivity, then plugged them into my settings.
- DPI: Set my mouse DPI same as his.
- In-game Sensitivity: Change the sensitivity number in the game options.
The Test Run
With everything set up, I hopped into a deathmatch server to see how it felt. And, whoa, that low sensitivity was something else! It took a lot of getting used to. My aim felt super shaky at first, and I was definitely overshooting targets. But, after a while, I started to see the potential. It felt way more precise for those tiny headshots, you know?
The Verdict (So Far)
Honestly, it’s still a work in progress. I’m not magically a pro player now, just because I copied ropz’s settings. My muscle memory is still adjusting to the lower sensitivity, and I’m still tweaking a few things here and there to fit my own playstyle. But I can definitely see why he uses these settings. The increased precision is noticeable, and I’m excited to keep practicing and see if it improves my game in the long run. It’s all about finding what works best for you, even if it means borrowing ideas from the pros!
