Okay, so, I wanted to get in on this Xerneas raid in Pokemon GO, right? This legendary’s been around, but I finally decided to take a crack at it. First thing I did was check out what this thing’s weak against.
Figuring Out Xerneas’ Weaknesses
Turns out, Xerneas is a Fairy-type, which means it’s got a thing against Poison and Steel-type moves. And get this, it really hates Dragon-types, but they’re not very effective against it, so that’s a no-go. So, I started looking through my Pokemon, trying to find the best ones with those types of attacks.

Choosing My Team
I gathered up a bunch of Pokemon with strong Poison and Steel attacks. I had a Metagross that I powered up just for this – its Meteor Mash is killer. Then there’s my trusty Roserade with Poison Jab and Sludge Bomb. I made sure they were all powered up as much as I could, lots of Stardust and Candy went into this.
The Raid Battles
I jumped into a few raids, teaming up with other players online. It was pretty intense! We all threw our best Pokemon at Xerneas, dodging its attacks and hitting it with everything we had. It was tough, but using those Poison and Steel moves really did the trick. I watched that health bar go down, bit by bit. Teamwork was key – couldn’t have done it without those other trainers.
Catching Xerneas
After a few tries, we finally beat Xerneas! Then came the fun part – trying to catch it. I used Golden Razz Berries to boost my chances and threw those Premier Balls. Curveballs are the way to go, gotta get those “Excellent” throws. Took a few balls, but I finally caught one! It felt awesome, all that preparation paid off. Now I have this Xerneas in my collection, and it’s pretty sweet.
- Choose your Pokemon: Pick those with Poison and Steel-type moves.
- Power up: Get those Pokemon leveled up and their attacks boosted.
- Team up: Raiding with others makes it way easier.
- Battle smart: Dodge those attacks and use your strongest moves.
- Catch it: Golden Razz Berries and curveballs are your best friends.
So yeah, that’s how I tackled the Xerneas raid. It was a blast, and now I’ve got a new legendary to show off. If you’re going after Xerneas, keep these tips in mind, and you’ll get it too! Good luck!
