Alright, folks, let me tell you about my journey today trying to snag a Mega Charizard Y in Pokémon Go. I’ve been looking forward to this for a while, and boy, it was a bit of a ride.
So, first things first, I had to find a Mega Raid with this beast. I walked around my neighborhood, checking out all the nearby gyms. Finally, I spotted a Mega Raid starting up about a mile away. I hustled over there, heart pumping a bit – gotta be quick to catch these things, you know?

When I got there, I jumped into the raid lobby and saw a few other players already waiting. I got my team ready, picking my strongest Pokémon that I thought could stand up to Charizard. From what I heard, this Mega Charizard Y is tough, so I made sure my team was solid. I used my strongest Pokemon with some research online, not just picking any Pokemon!
- Rhyperior – Rock Wrecker, Smack Down
- Tyranitar – Smack Down, Stone Edge
- Terrakion – Smack Down, Rock Slide
The battle started, and let me tell you, Mega Charizard Y is no joke. It launched some crazy powerful attacks. My Pokémon were taking hits, but they were dishing it out too. I used a couple of Revives and Max Potions – gotta keep those fighters in the game.
Team Effort Makes the Dream Work
We were all tapping away, dodging, and using our Charged Attacks whenever we could. It was a real team effort. We managed to take down Mega Charizard Y with about 30 seconds left on the clock. Phew, that was close!
After the battle, I got my chance to catch it. I used Golden Razz Berries and tried my best with those curveballs. It broke out a few times, which had me sweating, not gonna lie. But finally, on the third Premier Ball, I caught it!
I checked its stats, and it’s a pretty decent one. Not perfect, but I’m still stoked to have it. I’ve now got a Mega Charizard Y in my collection, ready to take on more battles. What a day! I spent almost an hour, but I did it at last.
That’s my Pokémon Go adventure for today. It took some walking, some strategy, and a bit of luck, but it was totally worth it. Now I can’t wait to see what other Mega Pokémon I can add to my team!
