Alright, so I’ve been messing around with this game called MARVEL SNAP, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. Today, I wanna share my experience with building decks in what they call “Series 1”.
I started off pretty clueless, just throwing in whatever cards looked cool. I mean, who doesn’t love superheroes, right? Turns out, there’s a bit more to it than that. After getting my butt kicked a few times, I figured I needed to learn the ropes.

So, I started digging around, trying to find some advice on how to build decent decks with the limited cards you get at the start. I found a bunch of guides online, and they were talking about this thing called “Series 1” or “Pool 1.” Basically, it’s the first set of cards you get in the game.
My First Attempts
My first few decks were, well, let’s just say they weren’t exactly winning material. I learned pretty quickly that you gotta think about how cards work together. Like, some cards get stronger when you play other cards a certain way, and some are just good on their own. It’s like putting together a puzzle, but with superheroes.
- Experimenting with different heroes: At first, I was like a kid in a candy store. So many heroes, so little time! I tried making a deck focused on the Hulk, then one with a bunch of X-Men, then one with Spider-Man and his pals. It was fun, but not very effective.
- Realizing the importance of strategy: I started to notice that just having powerful cards wasn’t enough. I needed a plan. Like, should I try to control the board? Or maybe focus on getting a few super-powered cards out? It was a lot to think about.
- Learning from my mistakes (and the internet): After losing a bunch of games, I started paying more attention to what my opponents were doing. I also started reading those guides more carefully. Turns out, there are some basic strategies that work pretty well, even with the starter cards.
Getting Better
Slowly but surely, I started to get the hang of it. I found a few decks online that seemed pretty strong, and I started tweaking them to fit my play style. I started paying more attention to the locations in the game, too. Each game has three locations, and they all have different effects. Some are good for certain types of cards, and some are just plain crazy.
One deck I really liked was focused on moving cards around. It had Nightcrawler and Vision, who can move to different locations. It was really fun to surprise my opponents by suddenly shifting my power around the board. Another one I enjoyed was all about buffing up a few key cards. I’d play Ant-Man and Captain America, and then try to make them super strong with other cards like Ironheart. It was awesome when it worked, I felt like a real strategist!
Still Learning
So, yeah, I’m still learning the ropes, but I’m definitely having a blast with MARVEL SNAP. Building decks in Series 1 has been a fun challenge. It’s like, you’ve got these basic tools, and you gotta figure out how to make the most of them. I’m still a long way from being a pro, but I’m getting there, one superhero battle at a time. It is really a fast-paced, adrenaline-pumping game. I enjoy the feeling of winning, of course. This is my experience playing MARVEL SNAP, see you next time!
