Okay, so I’ve been playing Pokemon Go for a while now, and I’ve always been fascinated by this one Pokemon – Giratina. It just looks so cool, you know? So, I really wanted to get one and make it super strong. I started by catching a bunch of them.
I caught a few Giratinas in raids, and I was so excited to finally have this legendary Pokemon on my team. But then I realized, I had no idea what moves to give it. Like, which ones are the best? I didn’t want to waste my TMs and all that stardust on moves that weren’t any good.

So, I hit the internet, reading through tons of guides and forum posts. It was a bit overwhelming, to be honest. Everyone seemed to have different opinions. Some people said Dragon Claw was the way to go, others were all about Shadow Force. I was getting kind of lost in all the information.
My Research on Giratina’s Moves
After a while, I figured out that Giratina actually has two forms – Altered and Origin. And the best moves depend on which form you’re using. That was a big “aha!” moment for me. I mostly use the Origin Forme, it looks way cooler. Here’s what I found out about its best moveset:
- Fast Move: Shadow Claw seems to be the best option here. It deals a good amount of damage and also generates energy pretty quickly.
- Charged Move: This is where it gets interesting. Most people recommended Shadow Force, and after trying it out, I totally agree. It hits like a truck! But, I have also seen some recommendations for Shadow Ball.
Some folks online were also talking about Ominous Wind, but I didn’t really see the point. I mean, Shadow Force just seemed way stronger. You will want it for Raids for sure.
My Experience with Different Movesets
I spent a good chunk of time testing out different combinations. I even used up some of my precious TMs, which I kind of regret now. But hey, you live and learn, right? Anyway, I eventually settled on Shadow Claw and Shadow Force for my Origin Forme Giratina. And let me tell you, it’s been a game-changer. This thing is a beast in raids now!
I also tried using my Giratina in PvP battles, but it didn’t go so well. It’s just not bulky enough to survive in that environment, I guess. But for raids, it’s amazing. I’ve been able to take down so many raid bosses with it. I’m so glad I finally figured out the best moveset. It took some time and effort, but it was totally worth it. Now I have a super powerful Giratina that I can show off to my friends. It feels good, man. It feels good.
