Okay, so, I’ve always been curious about how much time I’ve actually spent playing League of Legends. It’s one of those things you kinda just do without really thinking about it, right? But then I got to wondering, “Man, how many hours have I sunk into this game?” So, I decided to find out.
First off, I tried looking around in the game client itself. I clicked through every menu I could find, thinking there must be a stats page or something hidden in there. I spent a good 20 minutes looking and felt a little lost.

I did find some stats like my win rate and my most played champions. Cool info, sure, but not what I was after. I wanted to see the raw hours played.
So, feeling a little silly, I turned to my good friend, the internet. I typed in “how to check time played on League of Legends” into the search bar and hoped for the best.
I skimmed through a few forums and articles. Some people were saying the same thing that the client did not provide the method to check the played time. But the others recommended a bunch of third-party websites. I started with one of the most mentioned sites.
I typed in my summoner name, picked my region, and bam! There it was, staring me in the face. My total hours played. It was a surprisingly easy process, to be honest. I just had to give the website my username and it pulled all the data for me.
Now, I know some folks might be a little wary about using third-party sites, and I get that. I mean, you’re basically giving them your username, even though they swear they won’t steal your account or anything. I did a bit of checking around to make sure the site I used was legit, and it seemed okay. Plus, loads of other players were using it without any issues, so that was reassuring.
After checking, I found I have played LOL for more than 1000 hours. It is an amazing number. But it is true and I accepted that fact. There is one thing that needs to do. I need to spend more time on other issues, rather than on games.
So, that’s my little adventure into figuring out my League of Legends playtime. It was a bit of a roundabout journey, starting in the game client and ending up on a random website. But hey, I got the answer I was looking for. And now I have a slightly better understanding of where all my free time goes. Maybe I should spend less time playing, but hey, it’s all good fun, right?
