So, I’ve been messing around with this “Star Wars Outlaws” game lately, and I gotta say, the whole multiplayer thing is a bit of a head-scratcher. I mean, I was super pumped about the idea of an open-world Star Wars game, you know? The first of its kind in the whole darn franchise. But then I found out there’s no multiplayer or co-op. Bummer, right?
I did some digging around, looked at the PlayStation Store page, and yep, it says “1 player.” I even checked out some other sources, and they all said the same thing. No multiplayer, no co-op, nada. It’s like they built this huge, awesome sandbox and then decided not to let anyone else play in it.

Now, I’m not a game developer or anything, but I was really hoping to team up with some buddies and cause some trouble in the Star Wars universe together. Imagine rolling with your crew, taking on bounty hunts, and blasting away at Imperials. Sounds epic, doesn’t it?
I even tried to start my multiplayer journey following some guides, it mentioned that players can either join an existing game or create their session. It also mentioned something about joining a game by tags. But it turned out to be nothing about this game. So, basically, I wasted a whole afternoon trying to make something happen that just wasn’t gonna happen.
I heard from some folks online that the game is purely a single-player RPG, available on PS5 and Xbox Series XS. So, I guess I’ll just have to enjoy this one solo. It’s not the end of the world, but I can’t help but feel like they missed a huge opportunity here.
My Two Cents
- What I tried: Looked for multiplayer options in the game, searched online for info, tried to join some friends.
- What I found: “Star Wars Outlaws” is single-player only. No multiplayer, no co-op.
- What I think: It’s a bummer, but I guess I’ll still give it a shot. Maybe they’ll add multiplayer in the future, who knows?
So yeah, that’s my little adventure with “Star Wars Outlaws” and its lack of multiplayer. If you were hoping for some co-op action, you’re out of luck. But hey, maybe the single-player experience will be awesome. I’m still holding out hope!
