Alright, so I’ve been messing around with this whole Frieza skin thing in Fortnite, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I saw some folks talking about it online and figured, why not give it a shot? I’m not even the biggest Dragon Ball fan, but Frieza’s always been a cool villain.
First, I had to actually get the skin. Seems like it was out in the Item Shop a while back, around December, but I totally missed it. Luckily, it popped up again recently, so I grabbed it. Cost me about 1,500 V-Bucks, which isn’t too bad I guess, and I was able to purchase it with the Frieza & Cell Bundle for 2,500 V-Bucks, all things considered, it is an epic skin, so it is what it is.
Once I had the skin equipped, I hopped into a game to see what the deal was. Turns out, it’s not just the skin itself, there’s a whole bunch of other stuff that comes with it. That’s kind of neat, I do not know the exact name, I only know that it’s some kind of egg-shaped thing, seems to be called Frieza’s Pod or something like that. I started looking around, and there it was, just chillin’. It’s this floating thing that you can actually ride around in, which was a funny surprise. I think it’s some sort of vehicle he uses in the show, but like I said, not a huge Dragon Ball expert.
Here’s what I noticed while playing around with it:
- The skin itself looks pretty cool, they did a good job making Frieza look, well, like Frieza. All those evil vibes, you know?
- That floating Pod thing is a nice bonus. You can zip around the map in it, which is pretty handy for getting out of sticky situations. I find it quite comfy, but maybe it’s just me.
- I ran into a few other players who had the skin too, and we ended up having a little Frieza party. It was pretty funny, just a bunch of us floating around, being evil and stuff.
Honestly, the whole experience was way more fun than I expected. I just got the skin for the fun, but I ended up really enjoying all the extra stuff that came with it. It’s cool to see how much effort they put into these things, even for someone like me who’s not a die-hard fan. I feel I might be turning into one though.
To sum things up,
If you’re into Fortnite and you see the Frieza skin pop up, I’d say give it a go. It’s a fun little addition to the game, even if you’re not super familiar with the whole Dragon Ball thing, it’s worth it, if you ask me. Plus, floating around in that Pod is just a good time. I haven’t tried the Cell skin though, maybe I’ll do it next time.
