Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this thing called Marvel Snap, right? It’s a card game, and you get all these cool characters from the Marvel universe. I wanted to share a recent project that I tried today.
So I tried to find some anime-style Storm visuals in Marvel Snap.

First off, I went straight to the official Marvel site. I mean, that’s where you’d expect to find the good stuff. They’ve got all the characters, comics, you name it. But honestly, I did not spend much time there, just glanced at it and move on.
Then, I started hunting for anime versions of the cards. It took me a while, I found a discussion somewhere. Someone was saying, “Storm looks amazing in gold”. And they were like, asking about a Captain Marvel animation. And that got me thinking, “Yeah, Storm in that anime style would be awesome.”
I also tried to find out more about how to get these anime variants into the game. I saw someone mention something about replacing Spiderman’s suit with a character called 2B from some game. Seemed a bit too much for me, I’m not really into modding games that deep.
Then I found this other discussion about live wallpapers. They were talking about “Lively Wallpaper” for Windows and “iWallpaper” for Mac. I guess you can put animated wallpapers on your desktop? Maybe that’s a way to get these anime Storm visuals, but I’m not sure yet. I just installed these free softwares, and I think I need to do more research on this.
Then I found out there’s actually something called “MARVEL Vol.2” which is like, a collection of Japanese Marvel cards, part of this thing called “Weiss Schwarz.” There were, like, 239 different cards. This got me pretty excited.
I was digging around and stumbled upon something called “X-Men Forever (2024 Mini-Series) #2B.” It had this “Marvel Masterpieces Variant” cover, and the artists were Greg and Tim Hildebrandt. The artwork looked really cool.
So, in the end, I did find some cool anime-style Storm images. I’m still not sure how to put them in the game, but for now, I think I found a way to run them as desktop wallpaper. Still, it was a fun little project, and I’m pretty happy with the results. The process was a bit all over the place, but hey, that’s part of the fun, right?
- Browsed the official Marvel website for inspiration.
- Found discussions about anime-style Marvel characters.
- Looked into modding but decided against it.
- Discovered live wallpaper software.
- Learned about “MARVEL Vol.2” and “Weiss Schwarz.”
- Found “X-Men Forever (2024 Mini-Series) #2B.”

It’s always cool to see how people interpret these characters in different styles. And who knows, maybe I’ll figure out how to get those anime Storm cards in the game eventually.
