Okay, so I’ve been digging into this whole Leighton Vander Esch Madden rating thing, and I gotta say, it’s been a bit of a ride. First off, I started by just looking up the dude’s basic stats. You know, the usual stuff: his position, age, height, weight, that kind of thing. It was all pretty standard, nothing too crazy there. He’s a linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys, if you didn’t know.
Then, I stumbled upon some news about him retiring. Apparently, it’s because of health concerns. That’s a bummer, man. He’s only 28, so it’s gotta be tough to hang it up so early. But hey, health comes first, right? I also read that the Cowboys released him a few days before he announced his retirement. I guess they knew it was coming, and it was probably a salary cap move. Smart, but also kind of sad.

After that, I started looking into his actual Madden ratings. I found this site, some sort of Madden Ultimate Team Database, that had all his stats listed. It was pretty interesting to see how his ratings have changed over the years. It had all sorts of information about him, like his combine and draft analysis, news articles, and even videos.
Here’s a quick rundown of what I found:
- His overall rating in Madden 22 is 83.
- His speed is 85.
- His acceleration is 87.
- His strength is 80.
- His agility is 82.
- His awareness is 85.
- His tackling is 88.
- His hit power is 89.
So, yeah, he’s a pretty solid player in the game. It makes sense, considering he was a Pro Bowler in his rookie year. It’s a shame his career is being cut short, but at least he’s got a good Madden rating to remember him by, I guess. I kept digging around and found that he had a special “Most Feared” card in Madden Ultimate Team. It looked pretty cool. They used it to power up his player item or something. This was in MUT 22.
What I’ve learned
Anyway, that’s pretty much my deep dive into Leighton Vander Esch’s Madden rating. It was a bit of a rabbit hole, but it was fun to learn more about him and his career. Hope this was interesting for you guys, too!
