Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with Pokemon Go again lately, and I got really into trying to evolve my Porygon. Specifically, I wanted that sweet, sweet Porygon2. It’s a process, you know? And I figured, why not jot down my little adventure here? Might help someone else out, or maybe you guys can just laugh at my struggles. Either way, here goes.
First off, I had to, you know, actually catch a Porygon. Not the easiest thing in the world, let me tell you. These guys aren’t exactly common. I spent days just walking around, tapping on every Pokemon that popped up, hoping it was a Porygon. Finally, I caught one!

Next up, candy. To evolve Porygon into Porygon2, I needed 50 Porygon candies. 50! Back to walking around, catching more Porygons. Each one gives you, like, three candies? And if you use a Pinap Berry, maybe six. It took a while. A long while, and lots of Pinap Berries.
Eventually I caught some more Porygons and got enough candies. Then, I needed something called an Upgrade. How do you get one of those? Spinning PokeStops. And let me tell you, I spun a lot of them. I mean, a LOT. My finger got tired. I went to every PokeStop in my neighborhood. Twice. Three times, maybe. Finally. Finally, an Upgrade popped out.
So, I had my Porygon, 50 candies, and an Upgrade. Time to evolve! I clicked on my Porygon, hit that evolve button, and bam! There it was, my very own Porygon2. It has three fast attacks, including Charge Beam, Hidden Power and Lock-On.
My Porygon2’s Fast Attacks
- Charge Beam
- Hidden Power
- Lock-On
It felt good. I mean, it’s just a game, but, you know, it’s satisfying to finally get what you’re after. I battled with it a few times. Still figuring out the best way to use it, but it’s cool. It’s definitely a unique Pokemon, and I’m glad I put in the effort to get it.
Anyway, that’s my Porygon2 story. Maybe not the most exciting thing ever, but it kept me busy. If you’re trying to evolve one, good luck. And if you have any tips, leave them in the comments, yeah?
