Okay, so, I wanted to try out this “face scan” thing in MLB The Show 23. I’d heard some folks talking about it, and it sounded pretty cool. You know, putting your own face in the game. That is pretty amazing. So I started to do it.
Get the Game Ready
First, I made sure my game was all set. I got the latest version because I wanted all the new stuff, like this whole Negro Leagues thing in Season 1. I read it on the internet that they have included the Negro Leagues. It’s a pretty big move, adding a whole new mode. I wanted to see it.
Start My Player
Then, I jumped into the Road to the Show mode. This is where you make your own player and try to make it big. So I began to create my player.
Do the Face Scan
Next, I followed the steps to scan my face. I tried to get good lighting and made a bunch of different faces like they asked. There are some instructions inside. I followed them.
Tweak and Finish
After the scan, I messed around with the settings a bit. You can change your hair, eyes, and a bunch of other stuff. I spent a good while here making sure my guy looked right.
Play the Game
Finally, I started playing with my new character. It was wild seeing my face on the screen, hitting home runs and making plays. It really feels like you’re in the game.
Here are some things I noticed while playing and checking out my player’s stats:
- Hitting: I looked at my batting average (avg), on-base percentage (obp), and slugging percentage (slg). These stats tell you how well you’re hitting.
- Pitching: If you’re a pitcher, you look at your earned run average (era) and walks plus hits per inning pitched (whip). These show how good you are at stopping the other team from scoring.
- Other Stats: There are tons of other stats like runs batted in (rbi), home runs (hr), and strikeouts (so). Each one tells you something different about your player’s performance.
So yeah, that’s how I did the face scan in MLB The Show 23. It’s a fun feature that makes the game even more personal. If you’re into baseball and want to see yourself in the big leagues, you should definitely give it a try.
