So, today I wanted to mess around with Darmanitan in Pokémon Go, see what kind of damage I could get out of this beast. First thing I did was check out what moves this thing even gets, you know, just to get a feel for it.
Turns out, Darmanitan has a few options for its attacks. I saw it can learn four Charge Attacks called Rock Slide, Psychic, Focus Blast, and Overheat, which was pretty cool. These cover Rock, Psychic, and Fighting types. Then, for the Galarian Standard Mode, this dude could use two Fast Attacks: Tackle and Ice Fang. That’s a pretty decent spread, I gotta say.

The one that really caught my eye, though, was Overheat. I mean, the name alone just sounds powerful, right? But I found out that this move actually lowers Darmanitan’s attack stat every time you use it. Seems like a bit of a downside, but I figured with Darmanitan’s already high attack, it could probably afford to lose a bit.
From what I gathered, Darmanitan is a pure Fire type. It hits hard, but it’s not exactly the tankiest Pokémon out there. So, I figured the best strategy would be to go all-in on offense and try to take down the opponent before they could do too much damage back.
After doing some digging, I found that the best moveset people recommend is Fire Fang as the Fast Attack and Overheat as the Charge Attack. Apparently, this combo gives you a whopping 15.95 damage per second and a total damage output of 209.6. That’s insane! And get this, these moves are even stronger in Sunny weather. Talk about a powerhouse!
I took this bad boy out for a spin, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. I paired Fire Fang with Overheat and this thing just melted through everything. It was so satisfying to watch those health bars drop like flies. I’d definitely recommend this setup if you’re looking to do some serious damage in Pokémon Go.
- Checked out Darmanitan’s moves: It’s got Rock Slide, Psychic, Focus Blast, and Overheat for Charge Attacks. Galarian Darmanitan can use Tackle and Ice Fang as Fast Attacks.
- Focused on Overheat: It’s powerful but lowers attack. I figured Darmanitan could handle the debuff.
- Learned about the best combo: Fire Fang and Overheat. Huge damage, especially in Sunny weather.
- Tried it out: It worked like a charm! Darmanitan was a total beast.
Here’s a quick rundown of what I did:
So yeah, if you’re looking to use Darmanitan, definitely go with Fire Fang and Overheat. You won’t regret it. It’s a glass cannon for sure, but man, is it fun to use!
