Okay, so, I’ve been playing a ton of Animal Crossing: New Horizons lately, and I got it into my head that I absolutely needed to have orange windflowers. You know, gotta make the island look pretty and all that. And let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey, but I finally got them!
So, first, I had to figure out how to even get windflowers in the first place. Turns out, they aren’t just growing on my island naturally. I had to go looking for them. What I do is to buy seeds. I read somewhere that you can get them from seeds, and that’s what I did.

I planted some red windflower seeds and some white windflower seeds, making sure they had some space between them. I watered them every day, you know, the usual flower care routine. After a few days, I started seeing some new flowers popping up! Most of them were just red or white, but then, boom, there were some pink ones and also some blue ones! That was a good sign, I guess.
- Planting Seeds:
- I planted red windflower seeds.
- I planted white windflower seeds.
- Watering Daily:
- I watered all the seeds and new flowers every single day.
- Waiting for New Flowers:
- I kept a close eye on the flowers every day.
- After a few days, new flowers started growing.
- Mainly red and white windflowers appeared.
- I was so happy to find out pink and blue windflowers also appeared.
Now, I read online that if you want orange windflowers, you gotta start with red and white. So I kept at it. I moved some of the pink and blue ones away, just to keep things organized, and kept watering those red and white ones like my life depended on it.
The Breakthrough
Then, one glorious morning, I did my usual rounds, and there it was! A beautiful, vibrant orange windflower! I actually cheered out loud, my neighbors must think I’m nuts. Finally all the effort paid off!
- Relocating Flowers:
- Moved pink and blue windflowers to a different area.
- This helped keep the breeding area organized.
- Continued Watering:
- Continued to water the red and white windflowers daily.
- Orange Windflower Appears:
- One morning, an orange windflower finally bloomed.
- All the waiting and watering were worth it.
So, that’s my story of how I got orange windflowers in Animal Crossing. It took some time, some patience, and a whole lot of watering, but I did it! Now my island is looking even more colorful, and I’m pretty proud of my little gardening achievement. If you’re trying to get these flowers too, just keep at it, you’ll get there!
