Okay, so, I’ve been playing a ton of Animal Crossing: New Horizons lately, and I’ve gotten super into collecting all the art for the museum. There’s this one painting, though, that I’ve been really excited about – the Twinkling Painting. You know, the one based on Van Gogh’s “The Starry Night”? It’s a classic, and it’s always genuine in the game, which is a nice change from trying to spot Redd’s forgeries!
So, first things first, I had to wait for that sneaky fox, Redd, to show up on my island. He randomly appears on that secret beach at the back. It took a while, but finally, he showed up. When Redd finally visited, I ran straight to his boat.

Once I was on his boat, I browsed his selection. He always has four pieces of art, and most of them are fakes. But I knew the Twinkling Painting is always the real deal, so I didn’t even have to inspect it closely. It was right there, in all its starry glory. The iconic swirls of blue and yellow, the bright, shining stars – it was unmistakable.
- Checked Redd’s boat for the painting.
- Found the Twinkling Painting among the other art.
- Bought it without hesitation.
I quickly bought it, obviously. I mean, it’s “The Starry Night”! I was so happy. I immediately took it to Blathers at the museum. He was thrilled, as usual, and gave me a little tidbit about the real painting’s history. Blathers always knows his stuff.
Now, the Twinkling Painting hangs proudly in my museum. It looks absolutely stunning. Every time I walk by it, I feel a little bit of that real-world art appreciation. It’s pretty cool how a simple game can bring a piece of famous art into your virtual home, even if it’s in pixelated form.
So yeah, that’s my little story about getting the Twinkling Painting in Animal Crossing. It was a simple process, but it made my day. Now, onto the next art piece! I heard Redd also sells statues…
My Animal Crossing Art Collection Journey
This whole art collecting thing has become a bit of an obsession, not gonna lie. I’m determined to fill up that museum. It’s like a personal challenge. And, honestly, it’s kind of relaxing to wander around the art gallery I’ve helped create.
Anyway, I just wanted to share my excitement about the Twinkling Painting. It might seem silly to some, but it’s the little things in Animal Crossing that bring me joy. Hope you enjoyed my little story!
