Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this Croagunk thing in the game, trying to figure out what moves work best. It’s been a bit of a journey, let me tell you.
First off, I started looking at its Charge Attacks. This little guy’s got a few options: Low Sweep, Sludge Bomb, and Brick Break. It’s kinda cool cause you get both Fighting and Poison-type attacks. I spent some time trying out each one, seeing how they felt in battles.

Then I started thinking about what this Croagunk is weak against. Turns out, Flying-type moves are a real pain for it. So, I gotta keep that in mind when picking my battles.
After that, I dug a bit deeper into all the different types of moves Croagunk can learn. You got your fast moves, your charged moves, and then there’s all this stuff about legacy moves, elite moves, purified moves… it’s a lot! I’m still trying to wrap my head around all of that, to be honest. It felt a bit overwhelming, like, too much info at once. But I made sure to at least understand the basics of fast and charge moves.
There was this one website I found, Smogon Strategy Pokedex or something like that. I tried to look up Croagunk on there, but it just kept loading and loading. I waited for a bit, but nothing happened. Guess their site was having some issues. Probably too many people trying to look up Pokemon stats at the same time. Or maybe my internet was just being slow. Who knows?
I tried experimenting with different combinations of moves in actual battles. Some worked better than others. It was mostly trial and error, you know? Like, I’d try one set of moves, see how it went, and then tweak things a bit. I did a bunch of battles, trying out all sorts of combos. Sometimes I won, sometimes I lost, but it was always a learning experience.
So here’s what I found out, after all that experimenting, when it came to using charge attacks, I used Low Sweep and Sludge Bomb. They seemed to work pretty well together, covering different types of opponents.
- I went with Low Sweep first. It’s a Fighting-type move, so it’s good against Normal, Rock, Steel, Ice, and Dark-type Pokemon. Plus, it lowers the opponent’s speed, which is a nice bonus.
- After that, I’d follow up with Sludge Bomb. It is a Poison-type attack and it hits hard. It’s super effective against Grass and Fairy-type. Also, it has a chance to poison the opponent, which is always a good thing.
At the end of the day, I feel like I have found a good strategy for this Croagunk, it is still a work in progress and I’m always trying to improve it. But for now, I’m pretty happy with how it’s performing. Maybe there are even better combinations out there, but I’m sticking with this for now. It feels good to finally have a strategy that works, after all that experimenting. It took a while to get here, but it was worth it. I mean, I’m no expert or anything, but this is what’s been working for me. Hope this helps someone out there who’s also trying to figure out this Croagunk thing!
