Alright, so I spent the whole afternoon trying to figure out these layup packages in 2k24. It’s way more complicated than it looks. At first, I thought I could just pick one and be done with it, but nope, there are requirements. And I got stuck on this for hours.
First, I jumped into the game, thinking it would be a piece of cake. I went straight to the MyPLAYER section and looked for the animation settings. I found the layup packages, but most of them were locked. This is where it got tricky. I mean, why do I need to unlock a layup package? It’s just a layup.
I started digging around to see what’s up. Turns out, each package has specific requirements. Some need a certain driving layup rating, others need a specific height or ball-handling skill. And let me tell you, it’s not easy to figure out what you need for each one.
- Jimmy Butler: I tried to unlock this one because someone said it was good for floaters. But guess what? It also has requirements.
- Driving Layup: 80
- Height: Under 6’5″
I spent a good chunk of time trying to get my player’s stats up. I played a bunch of MyCAREER games, focused on driving layups, and even used some VC to boost my attributes. It was a grind, honestly. After a lot of games and some serious effort, I finally got my driving layup rating high enough to unlock some of the packages.
Contact Dunks
While I was at it, I also tried to get more contact dunks. I bought all the contact dunk packages I could, but they didn’t seem to work. Then I realized you also have to equip them in the animation settings. After doing that, I started seeing more contact dunks in the game. It was pretty satisfying to see my player posterize some defenders.
So, after all that, I finally managed to unlock and try out a few different layup packages. The whole process was way more involved than I expected. But hey, at least I figured it out. I just wish it was a bit more straightforward. I mean, it’s just choosing a layup style, right? Why make it so complicated? Anyway, that’s my experience with the layup packages in 2k24. It was a journey, for sure.
