Okay, so I’ve been messing around with different guns in Call of Duty: Vanguard, trying to find something that really clicks, you know? I heard some buzz about the Cooper Carbine, which apparently got added in the Season One update. It’s an assault rifle, which is usually my go-to, so I figured I’d give it a shot.
First off, I had to unlock the thing. Gotta say, it wasn’t too much of a grind, which is always nice. Once I had it in my hands, I started playing around with different attachments and perks, just trying to see what felt right. I played a bunch of matches, switching things up, you know how it is. Some setups were okay, some were straight-up trash. It’s all trial and error, right?

My Experiment Process
- First Try: I focused on making it a long-range beast. I slapped on a longer barrel, a scope with some good zoom, and anything that helped with recoil control. It was decent for picking people off from far away, but up close? Forget about it. I got melted faster than an ice cream cone in July.
- Second Try: I went the opposite way. Short barrel, a reflex sight, attachments that boosted hip-fire accuracy and movement speed. This was fun, for sure. I was running and gunning like a madman. But at any kind of range, it was like throwing pebbles. Couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn.
- Third Try: Time to find a balance. I used a medium-length barrel, a scope with just a little zoom, and attachments that gave me a bit of everything – some recoil control, some accuracy, some speed. This felt a lot better. I could hold my own at most ranges, and it didn’t feel like a total pea-shooter up close.
After messing around with it, I found that the best loadout is the medium barrel, and attachments to help recoil control, accuracy, and speed. I was playing a lot better using this setup.
Finally, I think I’ve cracked the code, at least for my playstyle. I’ve got a setup now that lets me be aggressive when I need to be, but I can also hang back and pick people off if that’s what the situation calls for. It’s not perfect, but it’s working for me. I’m actually winning gunfights now, which is a nice change of pace.
So, yeah, that’s my experience with the Cooper Carbine so far. It’s a fun gun, and with the right attachments, it can be pretty nasty. If you’re looking for something new to try in Vanguard, I’d say give it a shot. Just be prepared to experiment a bit to find what works for you. You might be surprised.
