Alright, so I gotta tell you about this “Forever Winter” thing in New World. I wanted to get in on this winter event, you know, snag some of those sweet, sweet rewards. First thing I did was head over to one of those Winter Villages. They got these Holiday Huts there where you can make Winter Tokens. I thought, “Cool, I’ll just craft a bunch of these.” Turns out, you can trade ’em for Lost Presents, Gleamite, or these Warrior’s Hailspikes things. I figured, why not? I started doing all sorts of tasks to earn more tokens.
I was on a roll, doing quests, gathering stuff, the whole nine yards. I learned that quests give you the most reputation, which is kinda like your score for the event. The more you do, the more rep you get, and the better stuff you can buy from the Event Shop.
- Quests: Did a bunch of these. They were pretty straightforward, go here, do that, come back. Easy reputation.
- Gathering: Found a lot of resources. Not as much rep as quests, but still, every little bit helps, right?
- Crafting: Made a ton of Winter Tokens. This was key to getting those event rewards.
Then There’s the Winter Warrior
This big, bad dude is part of the event. I heard you gotta beat him to get those Hailspikes. I spent a good chunk of time hunting for this guy. The thing is, he doesn’t just pop up anywhere. There are like 18 specific spots where he might show up. I went to a few but no luck at first.
I tried to do this whole ‘Forever Winter’ thing a few times. But there were never enough people around to actually take this guy down! The few times I did try, we were there for like an hour and still couldn’t beat it! It was a total mess. Now, I can not find him again!
Finally, I asked around and someone pointed me to a list of his spawn locations. I tracked him down at one of them and there were enough folks there this time. We took him down, and boom, I got my Hailspikes. I heard you can get 1-5 of them each time you beat him. They’re like trophies, proving you whacked this winter beast. You need these to craft some of the best stuff at the Event Shop.
So, that’s my story about tackling the Forever Winter. It was a grind, but hey, I got some cool stuff out of it. If you’re jumping into this event, be ready to put in some work, especially if you wanna take down that Winter Warrior!
