Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this Agatha Harkness deck in Marvel Snap, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride.
Getting Started
First off, I gotta say, when I first saw Agatha’s card, I was like, “What the heck is this?” She starts in your hand and plays your cards for you until you can finally drop her on turn six. It’s like having an AI play the game for you, and sometimes that AI makes some… interesting choices.

Building the Deck
But I was determined to make it work. So, I started looking at what other folks were doing with her. I saw a lot of decks that just kind of lean into the chaos, which is cool, but I wanted something a bit more… reliable? Maybe that’s the wrong word when we’re talking about Agatha, but you know what I mean.
I tinkered around with a bunch of different cards. Threw in some heavy hitters that Agatha could drop early, like a big boy that I figured she’d love to slam down on turn three. Added some support cards too, some that give you extra energy, and some that copy strong cards from your opponent’s deck, you know, just to keep things spicy.
The Process
The first few games were rough. Agatha would do some truly bizarre stuff, like playing all my low-cost cards on the last turn, or filling up a location with junk when I needed to drop something big there. But then, slowly but surely, I started to see the patterns.
She really likes to play certain cards early, so I started building around that. I found that if I could give her a few good options for the first few turns, she’d usually make a decent play. And then, once I finally got to play her on turn six, I could take back control and hopefully clean up whatever mess she’d made.
The Results
It’s not perfect, not by a long shot. There are still games where Agatha just throws, and there’s nothing you can do about it. But I’ve actually been winning more than I’ve been losing, which is more than I expected when I started.
- Wins: Surprisingly more than I thought. I’d say I’m winning about 60% of my games.
- Losses: Yeah, there are some rough ones. Sometimes Agatha just makes the worst plays, and you’re like, “What are you doing?!”
- Most Fun Part: When Agatha makes a play you didn’t expect, and it actually works out. Feels like you’ve got a crazy partner in crime.
- Least Fun Part: When you have a perfect plan, and Agatha just ignores it and plays something random.
Tips I Learned
The big thing I learned is that you gotta be flexible. You can’t go into a game with Agatha with a super strict game plan, because she’s gonna do her own thing. You have to be ready to adapt and make the best of whatever situation she creates.
Also, don’t be afraid to retreat if things are looking really bad. No shame in cutting your losses and moving on to the next game. Sometimes, Agatha just isn’t gonna cooperate, and that’s okay.
And hey, if you’re looking for a deck that’s a bit different, a bit chaotic, and a whole lot of fun, give Agatha a try. Just be prepared for a wild ride!
I tried adding other cards to the deck but quickly realized the maximum deck size is twelve. I had twenty at first! Then I spent time reading reviews and learning more about how to play the game and make the deck better.
It’s been a blast figuring this deck out. Hope this helps some of you out there who are also trying to make Agatha work. Good luck, and happy snapping!
