So, I’ve been playing Pokemon Go for a while now, and recently I’ve been trying to get this Poliwrath thing. It’s been a real pain, let me tell you.
First off, I started hunting for a Poliwag. I remembered that someone said Shiny Poliwag was released a long time ago, way back in 2019. So, I figured that was my first step. I spent days searching, walking around my neighborhood like a crazy person, staring at my phone.
Catching a Poliwag
Finally, after what felt like forever, I caught a Poliwag. Not a Shiny one, just a regular one. But hey, it was a start, right?
Evolving Poliwag to Poliwhirl
Next, I had to evolve this little guy into a Poliwhirl. From what I gathered, you need 25 Poliwag candies to do that. So, I started catching more Poliwags, transferring them, and collecting those candies. It took some time, but eventually, I had enough.
- Collect: Got 25 Poliwag candies.
- Evolve: Turned my Poliwag into a Poliwhirl.
Evolving to Poliwrath
Now, for the big one – evolving Poliwhirl into Poliwrath. This one required a whopping 100 candies! I was like, “Are you kidding me?” But I was determined. I kept catching, transferring, and collecting.
- Grind: Caught a ton more Poliwags.
- Transfer: Sent a bunch of them to the Professor for candies.
- Collect: Finally got 100 candies.
It was a grind, but I finally got those 100 candies and evolved my Poliwhirl into Poliwrath.
Man, it felt good to finally get that Poliwrath. It wasn’t Shiny, but I was still pretty happy. I heard that the Shiny version was available in the shadow form and there are Shiny versions for Poliwrath, Politoed, and Poliwhirl. Maybe I’ll try for those next, but for now, I’m taking a break.
This whole process was way more work than I expected. But hey, that’s Pokemon Go for you. You gotta work for those rare Pokemon!
