Okay, here is my sharing about “League of Legends Ranked Reset 2024”, I hope you guys find it useful.
So, I’ve been grinding away at League of Legends this year, right? And like everyone else, I was curious about this whole ranked reset thing for 2024. I started digging around to see what’s up with it.

First off, I checked when this whole split thing ends. Turns out, Split 2 of the 2024 season is wrapping up on September 24, 2024, at 11:59:59 PM local server time. But for those big shots in Master, Grandmaster, and Challenger, it’s 15 minutes earlier, at 11:45 PM. Then, just 12 hours after, Split 3 starts up at noon. I was marking my calendar because, you know, gotta be on top of these dates.
Next, I wanted to understand how this reset actually works. From what I’ve gathered, Riot Games does a soft reset for the higher tiers. They say it’s to give everyone a fair shot at climbing the ladder. So, they put everyone around the same level. It feels like a fresh start. I thought that sounds fair enough. Plus, they mentioned it helps get rid of those accounts that have been boosted or something.
Then I reviewed the ranked tiers again, just to refresh my memory. We’ve got:
- Iron
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold
- Platinum
- Emerald
- Diamond
- Master
- Grandmaster
- Challenger
Each of these has four divisions, except for Master and above, which don’t. I mean, I’ve been stuck in Gold for a while, but it’s good to know the whole structure.
Finally, I found out when the entire 2024 season ends. Mark your calendars for January 9, 2025. That’s when Split 3, the last part of Season 14, officially concludes. That gave me a good timeline to plan my climb.
I also figured out that a “rank reset” means they wipe the slate clean. Everyone starts fresh. It’s a bit of a bummer if you’ve climbed high, but also kind of exciting to start over. I’ve been through a few of these, and it’s always a mixed bag of emotions.
So, that’s my experience with figuring out the League of Legends ranked reset for 2024. I tried to understand when things start and end, how the tiers work, and what a reset really means. I hope this helps some of you out there who are as confused as I was.
Good luck on the Rift, folks!
