Okay, so, I’ve been grinding away at League of Legends ranked again, and with the new year, there’s the whole ranked reset thing. It’s 2024, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey.
First off, I started playing way back when, and every year, Riot Games does this ranked reset. Basically, at the beginning of a new ranked season, they do a soft reset of your MMR. I was sweating bullets, not gonna lie. This year, it felt different with three splits instead of two, I did not know what to expect. This does not completely erase your rank. But I heard that it does adjust it to make it closer to the average, so that was a relief.

They split the year into three splits, each with its own ranked season. I heard from somewhere that Split 2 of this Ranked Season 2024 will end on September 24, 2024 at local server time and Ranked Season 2024 Split 3 will start just 12 hours after the end of Split 2 at local server time. I was playing like crazy to get as high as I could before the deadline. The end of Season 14 will be on January 9, 2025. I’ve heard that the exact time depends on your server region. I made sure I completed my placement matches early in the season. This gave me plenty of time to climb before the first split ended.
I started tracking my progress meticulously. Every win and loss, I was taking note of my LP. I found that consistently performing well in matches helped me climb faster. The new system also took into account my previous season’s performance, which was a relief.
Now, the grind was real. I went through a rollercoaster of emotions, from the highs of winning streaks to the lows of demotions.
I remember one particular night, it was getting late, and I was on the verge of promoting to the next tier. Just one more win needed. I queued up, feeling the pressure. We loaded into the game, and it was a nail-biter from start to finish. Both teams were going all out, and it felt like it could go either way. In the end, after a tense back-and-forth battle, we managed to secure the victory. Man, that feeling of hitting the promotion screen? Priceless. It felt like all the effort I spent really paid off. It felt like all those hours were worth it.
- Stayed Updated: Kept an eye on official announcements regarding reset dates and changes.
- Played Consistently: Regular play helped me maintain my skill level and climb steadily.
- Focused on Improvement: I analyzed my replays and identified areas where I could improve my gameplay.
So yeah, that’s my experience with the League of Legends ranked reset for 2024. It’s been a wild ride, but I’m looking forward to seeing where I end up by the end of the year. Good luck to everyone else climbing out there!
