Alright, folks, gather around! I gotta tell you about my Black Friday adventure this year. It was a wild ride, but I scored big time, and I’m here to spill all the beans.
So, Black Friday, right? The day when everyone goes crazy for deals. I’m usually not one to get caught up in the hype, but this year, I had my eye on something special: God of War Ragnarok. I mean, who wouldn’t want to get their hands on that game? It’s epic!

I started my mission early. I did wake up before dawn, not gonna lie. I made a cup of coffee to get myself all fired up and hopped online. First, I checked out the usual suspects like Best Buy and Walmart. And guess what? I saw that the game was on sale! We’re talking about a drop from 70 bucks to just 30. That’s a steal!
- Checked Best Buy’s website.
- Scanned through Walmart’s online deals.
- Found God of War Ragnarok for $30!
But here’s where it got interesting. I also noticed there were different versions. There was a $60 option and a $70 one. Turns out, the $60 version was just for the PS4, while the $70 one was a cross-gen edition, which was very important, meaning it works on both PS4 and PS5. And get this, there’s no free upgrade to the PS5 version if you go for the cheaper one. Sneaky, right?
Then I remembered hearing about deals on the PlayStation Store. I figured, why not check it out? So, I fired up my PS5 and browsed through their Black Friday offerings. That’s when I saw even more deals, like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. It was down from 69.99 to 39.99, the Digital Deluxe version of Spider-Man 2 is also on sale, from $79.99 to $49.99. Crazy, right?
But I stayed focused. I was there for God of War. And after weighing my options, I went for the cross-gen edition. I mean, why limit yourself to just one console, right? It was 40 dollars more expensive, but I had been waiting to play this game so bad I figured I would not mind paying it.
After a bit of back and forth, and almost giving up a couple of times, I finally managed to snag a copy. It felt like winning the lottery, I’m not even kidding.
The Aftermath
Now, let me tell you, the feeling of getting that game at a discount was awesome. I spent the rest of the day playing, and man, it was worth all the trouble. The graphics, the story, the gameplay – everything was just top-notch. I was so happy I almost cried, like, you know when you get that super deal that you were waiting for so long and it feels so good to finally have it? It was one of those moments.
So, yeah, that’s my Black Friday story. It was a bit of a rollercoaster, but I ended up getting exactly what I wanted. And that, my friends, is what I call a successful shopping spree.
Hope you all had a great Black Friday too! Let me know in the comments what deals you scored. I’d love to hear about it. Until next time, happy gaming!
