Alright, so I’ve been playing a ton of Pokemon Go lately, and let me tell you, I’ve been focusing on this one Pokemon: Greninja. I mean, who wouldn’t? It’s a ninja frog! Anyway, I wanted to really max out its potential, make it a beast in battles. So, I dove deep into figuring out the best moveset for this guy. It took some trial and error, some real experimenting in the field, you know?
First off, I started messing around with its Fast Attacks. Greninja’s got a few options here: Bubble, Feint Attack, and Water Shuriken. Bubble, it’s a classic, right? It’s good, does the job, Water-type. Feint Attack is the Dark-type move, which is cool, adds some variety, felt good to test it out. But then there’s Water Shuriken. Man, this move, it just felt different. Faster, more powerful. It felt like my Greninja was attacking more often, more aggressively. I played around with it in a bunch of raids and battles, and yeah, Water Shuriken was really standing out.

Now, for the Charged Attacks, that’s where things got interesting. You see, Greninja can learn a bunch of these, but there’s one that’s notoriously hard to get: Hydro Cannon. This is its signature move. I tried other moves first, but they just didn’t have that oomph. I knew, deep down, I needed Hydro Cannon. The problem? You need an Elite Charged TM to teach it to Greninja. These things are rare, like, finding a shiny rare! I couldn’t get Hydro Cannon on my Greninja. It was a grind, let me tell you. I did every event, every raid I could, just hoping to snag one of those Elite Charged TMs. And then, finally, after weeks of playing, I got it. It felt like winning the lottery!
The moment of truth. I used that precious TM, taught Greninja Hydro Cannon, and took it out for a spin. Boom! It was like night and day. This thing was a monster. Hydro Cannon, combined with Water Shuriken, the damage output was insane! My Greninja was just tearing through opponents. It is vulnerable to Bug, Electric, Fairy, Fighting, and Grass-type moves. But I found out that in rainy weather, these moves get a boost. I started crushing it in raids, especially when it was raining. And in PvP battles? Forget about it. My Greninja was climbing the ranks like a rocket.
So, after all that experimenting, all that grinding, I can confidently say that the best moveset for Greninja is Water Shuriken for the Fast Attack and Hydro Cannon for the Charged Attack. Trust me, it’s worth the effort. It turns Greninja from a cool Pokemon into an absolute powerhouse. You will know it when you see it!
- Fast Attack: Water Shuriken
- Charged Attack: Hydro Cannon
Get out there, catch yourself a Froakie, evolve it, and get that Hydro Cannon. You won’t regret it. I definitely felt like I went through something to get here, and it feels good!
