So, I’ve been getting into Armored Core 6 lately, and you know how it goes with these games, you always wanna play with your buddies. The big question that popped up was, “Can we even play together if we’re on different systems?” Like, I’m on a PS5, and my friend’s got an Xbox Series X. So, I started digging around to figure out if Armored Core 6 has this thing called crossplay.
First, I checked out some forums and gamer blogs. I found that a lot of games these days do have crossplay, like that Call of Duty Warzone, where everyone can play together, no matter if they’re on a PlayStation, Xbox, or PC. That’s pretty cool, right?

Then I looked specifically for Armored Core 6. I read through a couple of articles, and it was a bit of a letdown, to be honest. They all were like, “Direct Answer: Unfortunately,” which kinda gave it away. It turns out, Armored Core 6 doesn’t support crossplay between different platforms. Bummer, I know.
But, here’s what I did find out. The game does let you play with others who are on the same family of consoles. So, if you’re on a PlayStation, you can play with folks on both PS4 and PS5. Same goes for Xbox, you can team up or go against players on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. And of course, PC players can play with each other, but that’s about it.
I tried this out with my buddy who’s also on a PS5. We got into a game, no problem. We had a blast, even though it wasn’t against our Xbox friends. But yeah, it was smooth sailing within the PlayStation network.
What I Learned
- Armored Core 6 doesn’t support full crossplay across all platforms.
- You can play with others on the same platform family (PS4 with PS5, Xbox One with Xbox Series X/S).
- Setting up a game with friends on the same console is easy and works great.
So, that’s my experience trying to figure out the crossplay situation in Armored Core 6. It’s a bit of a bummer we can’t play across all systems, but hey, at least we can still enjoy the game with some of our friends, right?
