Hey everyone, it’s your boy back at it again with another one of my little adventures. So, I’ve been hooked on Animal Crossing: New Horizons lately, and today I wanted to share my experience with catching fish in January.
I woke up early, grabbed my trusty fishing rod, and headed out to the river. You know, there’s something so peaceful about fishing in this game. The sound of the water, the anticipation of the catch, it’s all so relaxing. Anyway, I cast my line and waited. And waited. It felt like forever, but I knew that patience is key when it comes to fishing.

Finally, I felt a tug on the line! I started reeling it in, and after a bit of a struggle, I pulled out a Football Fish. It wasn’t much, selling for only 2500 bells, but it was a start. I kept at it, casting and reeling, casting and reeling. I caught a bunch of common fish, you know, the ones that sell for under 100 bells. But I wasn’t in it for the money, I was in it for the thrill of the hunt.

The Golden Trout Hunt
Then, I remembered something. I remembered that the Golden Trout is available in January. It’s a rare fish, sells for 15,000 bells at Nook’s Cranny. That’s a lot of bells! So, I decided to focus on catching that. I spent hours by the river, trying to find that elusive golden fish. I caught a lot of other fish in the process, some rare, some not so rare, but still no Golden Trout.
Just when I was about to give up, I felt another tug on the line. This one felt different. It felt stronger, more powerful. I reeled it in with all my might, and lo and behold, it was a Golden Trout! I couldn’t believe it! I finally caught one! I rushed over to Nook’s Cranny and sold it for a whopping 15,000 bells. It was such a satisfying feeling.
Donation
After selling the Golden Trout, I went to see Blathers at the museum, I thought I would do something good and donated some fish to the museum, together with bugs, sea creatures, and fossils I got. By the way, the museum is grand, it is worth visiting sometimes.
Anyway, that was my fishing adventure for today. It was a lot of fun, and I can’t wait to see what other fish I can catch in the coming months. Until next time, happy gaming everyone!
