Alright, let’s talk about where the “Call of Duty” servers are. This is something I’ve been messing around with lately, so I figured I’d share my findings with you all. You know, it’s not like they just put these servers anywhere. There’s actually some thought behind it.
First off, I started digging around to see what the deal was with these server locations. Turns out, Activision, the guys behind “Call of Duty,” they’ve got this whole network of servers spread out across the globe. I guess it makes sense, right? You gotta have servers in different places to make sure everyone gets a decent connection. They’re not just throwing darts at a map to decide where to put these things.

So, I started looking region by region. In North America, they’ve got servers in places like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Dallas. Pretty standard, I guess. These are major cities, so it makes sense to have servers there. Over in Europe, it’s a similar story. I found servers in London, Paris, and Frankfurt. Again, major hubs for gamers.

Then I thought, “How do I actually check the server status?” Turns out, the easiest way is to just go to Activision’s support website. They’ve got this whole section where they show you the status of the servers for all their “Call of Duty” games. It’s pretty handy, actually. You can see if there are any issues or maintenance going on.
But what about switching servers? I messed around with this a bit too. In the game settings, under “Network” or “Connectivity,” there’s usually an option to pick your server region. You just choose the one you want from the list, save the settings, and restart the game. Boom, you’re on a different server.
Since I also play Modern Warfare 3, I found out that we can change server on * too! First, log out from Battle Net. Then a login screen will pop up. Tap on the world icon on the top right side of that window. And we can change the server region here.
Honestly, finding the server locations felt like uncovering hidden treasures on a map. It’s like, you know they’re there, but you gotta do some digging to find them. And once you do, it’s like, “Ah, so that’s where they’re hiding!”
Anyway, that’s my little adventure into the world of “Call of Duty” servers. I just thought it was interesting how they set all this up and wanted to share what I found. Hope you guys found it somewhat useful or at least a bit entertaining!
